When downloadable content was announced earlier this week, a new game mode was announced, Survival mode. But there was no explanation of what it would be. Last night on GameTrailers TV, the new mode was explained briefly.

…a brand new multiplayer mode called Survival, where up to four players set records for the longest time surviving hordes of zombies on over 12 maps.

One could assume the “12 maps” aren’t new maps but sectioned off parts of the existing scenarios. So, there you have it, Survival mode. Be sure to watch the whole episode of GameTrailers TV, where they talk with Rockstar about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 4 DLC, The Lost and the Damned.
