The next installment in DLC for Fallout 3 will hit Xbox Live on Monday (Aug 3rd) and brings some alien exploration to the wasteland. Mothership Zeta will be the last piece of DLC for Fallout 3, with the exception of all the packs hitting the Playstation 3 soon. You can see the trailer below and read a new team diary here.
Mass Effect 2 Box Art Unveiled
While Mass Effect 2 doesn’t hit for another half-year, the box art for the game has just been release by EA for you to enjoy while thinking of how much longer you have to wait to play. The box shows on again-off again dead-man Commander Shepard as well as what looks to be two new counterparts. The game is set to release next spring on the Xbox 360 and PC. Enjoy!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Releasing October 13
Naughty Dog has just announced that Uncharted 2 will be releasing in the U.S. on October 13th. Nathan Drake will once again find himself in a National Treasure-like struggle to prevent the destruction of the world (minus John Voight). As you can see by the box art above Nathtan will be doing a lot of ledge climbing.
Also mentioned in the press release are the pre-order goodies, Best Buy pre-orders will get gold guns for the newly added multiplayer modes, Amazon.com pre-orders will receive a Treasure Map that apparently shows hidden items in the game, and Game Crazy gets a currency multiplier that gives players more money in multiplayer for a short time, and GameStop customers will get access to a multiplayer demo that begins on September 9th (September 30th for everyone else).
Microsoft Announces First Fall Dash Update
Microsoft has announced that the first parts of the new dashboard update will be releasing August 11th. This first wave includes features such as Netflix party viewing, game ratings for the marketplace, the games on demand service for downloading full retail games, the avatar marketplace and awardables, and a few other tidbits for performance.
A select few will get the update a bit early via a preview program with details listed on Major Nelson’s site. Good luck to all attempting to get in, if you don’t August 11th is not too far off.
Features like LastFM, Twitter, and Facebook will be coming later this Fall.

Modern Warfare 2 is Call of Duty Again
Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward sent out an interesting tweet via Twitter today showing the, hot off the presses, boxes for Modern Warfare 2. Earlier this year it had been confirmed, or at least we thought, that the game would be dropping the Call of Duty name in an effort to push itself as a new IP, that does not seem to be the case as you can see in the image above.
Honestly, what’s in a name? The change will mean nothing to the actual game, but it is interesting that Activision decided to add Call of Duty back to the game, maybe they just could not accept a year without a Call of Duty game.
Bungie Day 2009/New Maps Revealed
Bungie Day, the one day of the year where the Bungie staff descends on us mere mortals to play and deal out Recon armor, is upon us. This means not only can you win Recon, but we get a decent amount of information on all things Bungie.
Earlier Bungie debuted the first images of the three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps that will ship with Halo 3 ODST, Heretic (remake of Midship), Longshore, and Citadel. You can see the images below, stay tuned for more news!
