Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Sims 3 on Consoles Announced

A few new(ish) games have been announced today, first up Ubisoft has announced that the Ghost Recon series is set to return this fall with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier with a beta coming this summer to those 360 owners who pick up Splinter Cell: Conviction this April. Future Soldier will be coming to the 360 & PS3, with a Wii, DS, PSP version coming sometime in the future, possibly by a different studio.

Also announced, EA will be bringing The Sims 3 to consoles and handhelds sometime in Q3 2010. Not much information was available on the games besides this, but more is sure to come in the near future.

Scribblenauts is a very interesting game for the Nintendo DS. The game itself is a very simple concept, go through levels of puzzles and try to get the star in each. What makes this game so different and outstanding is the means to which you can get the star. You can type in literally any word and that thing or object will come up on screen and do something in your environment. Need to get the star out of a tree, try typing in elephant and then see-saw, make the elephant catapult you to the star. If you can think it, you can use it. Check out the IGN E3 walkthrough below.

PSP Go! Details Leaked Via Early Edition of Qore

GamersConsoleNetwork got a bit of a shock today when they opened the latest edition of Sony’s PS3-related digital magazine Qore. They found inside details and video of the PSP Go! The handheld that has been rumored to be coming for some time. As you can see in the image above the Go! has a cell phone-like sliding screen. More details follow:

Little Big Planet PSP, Gran Turismo, Jak & Daxter and MGS are hinted at.
The system will have 16GB of internal memory.
The Go! will have Bluetooth.
The Go! and the PSP 3000 will share the market.
The PSP Go! will launch this fall.
The Go! 43 percent lighter than the PSP.
It has a 3.8-inch screen.

There is most likely much more to come about the PSP Go! at E3 starting Monday. Stay tuned!

Larry Fitzgerald & Troy Polamalu Grace the Madden ‘10 Cover

For the first time in series history two athletes will grace the cover of Madden 2010. Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu were chosen this morning by EA Sports to be dual cover athletes for this year’s edition of Madden. Not only did the two meet in the Super Bowl last season, but they both fit the new tagline for Madden this year, “Fight for Every Yard.”

“Larry Fitzgerald will be the second athlete to have been featured on both the Madden NFL cover (Madden NFL 10) and NCAA Football cover (NCAA Football 2005) the first being Shaun Alexander. The three-time Pro Bowl selection and 2009 Pro Bowl MVP reached career highs in reception yards (1,431) and touchdowns (12) in 2008, and set NFL post season records for yards (546), receptions (30), and TDs (7), as he led the Arizona Cardinals to Super Bowl XLIII. Fitzgerald’s athleticism and unyielding focus often result in acrobatic catches that change the course of a game.

Troy Polamalu is a 2-time Super Bowl Champion and one of the most recognizable players in the NFL today. Anchoring the Steelers’ vaunted defense, Polamalu frustrates opposing offenses with his All-Pro speed, agility and high-impact tackles. Known for his quick reactions on the field and unrivaled preparation off the field, Polamalu is one of the few defensive players in the NFL who can rush the quarterback, shutdown a receiver in man-to-man, or drop back into zone coverage; making it necessary for the offense to account for him on every single play. NCAA Football ‘10 Cover Athletes Unveiled

EA Sports has just unveiled the cover athletes for the four exclusive covers of NCAA Football 2010. The game will ship to retailers July 14th, but you can get a first glimpse of who will be on your version’s cover below. The Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 athletes are shown before the jump, for the PSP and PS2 athletes hit the jump.

Xbox 360 – Michael Crabtree – Texas Tech University

“Michael Crabtree, formerly of Texas Tech University, graces the NCAA Football 10 Xbox 360® cover. A top 2009 NFL Draft prospect and two-time recipient of the Biletnikoff and Paul Warfield Awards, Crabtree is a highly recognized wide receiver who led Texas Tech in a close race for the BCS National Championship up until the final weeks of the 2008 season. Texas Tech’s victory over Texas in Lubbock is considered one of the defining moments of 2008. ”

Playstation 3 – Brian Johnson – University of Utah

“The PLAYSTATION®3 cover features University of Utah’s former quarterback, Brian Johnson. In 2008, under Johnson’s leadership, the Utah Utes became the only undefeated NCAA Division I team, boasting a 12-0 record heading into the 2009 Sugar Bowl. Playstation Portable – Mark Sanchez – University of Southern California

“The PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) version of NCAA Football 10 will showcase University of Southern California’s former quarterback, Mark Sanchez. In his only season as USC’s starting quarterback, Sanchez led the Trojans to a near perfect 12-1 season, narrowly missing the opportunity to compete for the 2008 BCS National Championship title. Playstation 2 – Brian Orakpo – University of Texas

“University of Texas’ former defensive end, Brian Orakpo, is featured on the PlayStation®2 cover. In 2008, Orakpo was unanimously selected as a first-team All-American and named the Associated Press Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. In his final season with the Longhorns, Orakpo won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Ted Hendricks Award and the Lombardi Award.
