
Welcome to GPU demo impressions. For these demo impressions (as well as reviews that are TBA) we like to give you all a background on what type of gamer we are. That way if we have something in an impression or review that differs from what you think; it may very well be because we are fairly new to the genre.
Killzone 2 is one of the most highly anticipated Playstation 3 games since the console’s launch. A system that has been seeking that first big push to knock the landslide of exclusive games down the hill has finally got a push, better yet, a straight out drop kick. The Killzone 2 demo hit Euro PSN today for everyone and USA PSN for those who pre-ordered the game at GameStop and you can believe I was one of the first waiting to download.
The demo takes you through a few firefights in two main locations. You arrive at a beach and must move up it to a warehouse where you must clear out the Helghast and wait for your teammate to unlock the door at the other side. I live on the Call of Dutys, Battlefields, and Halos. Any game with guns will get my adrenaline pumping so I was anxious to jump into Killzone after hearing that it is none less that the PS3’s second coming in the first person genre.
Be advised, these are just demo impressions and could change upon playing the full game….
